Donations
HAVIN accepts donations at any time.
To donate furniture or large items, please call beforehand to see if we have room.
Clothing is accepted on a seasonal basis due to limited storage.
We also accept cell phones. These can be dropped off at our Kittanning office.
Money designated as “Client Relocation and Direct Service Needs”.
HAVIN receives approximately $10,000 from the Pennsylvania Coalition Against Domestic Violence to pay for a survivor’s first month’s rent and/or security deposit, utilities, transportation to a safe place as well as household items. Last year we helped a total of 21 survivors with relocation expenses, but their needs far exceeded our income. As of the end of May 2004, HAVIN provided direct services to 372 adults and 99 children. Please consider a monetary donation to assist with this need.
