A Support Group for your Needs

HAVIN will now be offering a Virtual Sexual Assault Support Group in response to COVID-19 precautions.

​

Every THURSDAY from 2:00-3:00pm EST

​

Our Support Groups are peer-driven. Participants build community and learn through shared experiences.

​

Please register at the link below to secure your spot

by Monday at 4:00pm each week.

Next Group: Thursday, March 17, 2022

At this time, each group meets online via ZOOM or you can join us by phone.

All programs are open to survivors of sexual violence and/or those who have been impacted by sexual violence.

Each support group is a safe place to share your feelings. 

HAVIN will always be a judgement-free zone.

Once you register through HAVIN, you will be given a zoom link.  You will be placed in a waiting room once you access the meeting via that link on the day of Group. The facilitator will let you in at 2:00pm.

  • Your camera must be on, unless you are joining by telephone

  • You need to have your first name and last initial displayed on zoom

  • You will be removed from Group by the facilitator if you are inappropriate

  • All individuals will be screened through the preregister process

  • You must preregister three (3) days prior to Group in order to participate and be added into private zoom invite.

Educational Topics:

  • defining sexual violence

  • myths and facts

  • emotional responses to violence

  • societal responses and effects on survivors

HAVIN's Confidentiality Policy

All recipients of service must exercise discretion regarding information learned via contact with HAVIN.

As a recipient of service, I agree to keep in confidence any information I may learn regarding other service recipients. This agreement is made with the knowledge that I am protecting the lives and safety of other survivors and children.
 

I understand that if I fail to live up to the terms of this Agreement, HAVIN may reduce or terminate my services. Should the Agency do this, I understand that I have the right to appeal the decision with the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services.  HAVIN will provide me with all necessary forms and will, if I wish, assist me in completing these forms.

Zoom is a public platform.  Although we are supplying a private link we cannot guarantee 100% security.
